Abbeville is worth a visit any day of the week, but the best days to visit Abbeville are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
If you come on a Sunday or Monday you will find that most stores are closed. As the week progresses, more and more of the shops open up, but I recommend coming on a Thursday or Friday after 11:00 am, or Saturday before 12:30 to get the most out of your visit to Abbeville.
Whether you are looking for artisan breads from Daily Bread Bakery, or a fresh brewed cup of coffee from Main Street Coffee Co, you will find great culinary options in the Downtown Historic District.

While in town, take advantage of the many historical sites within walking distance of the Square.
Popular destinations in town include Trinity Episcopal Church, the Burt-Stark Mansion, the Abbeville Opera House, the Historical Society Museum (McGowen House), and the Abbeville County Museum.
